Chinese New Year Celebrations

Recently, Foundation Stage had a fantastic time celebrating Chinese New Year! Pupils worked together to build a giant, colourful dragon, using great teamwork skills. They then proudly paraded their handmade dragon around the room while dancing to drum beats and welcoming in a happy new year.

They also practised their fine motor skills by carefully cutting and folding beautiful red lanterns, and even used black ink to have a go at writing symbols.

To finish the celebrations, the children tasted traditional Chinese noodles in sweet and sour sauce, along with prawn crackers. There were lots of brave children willing to try new flavours. What a wonderful week of learning and celebration!
