Meet your teacher

Mrs Perceval

Hi My name is Mrs Perceval. I joined Sandhill Primary School in Easter 2021 as a class teacher and assistant head. I have 2 daughters, who are grown up now and a beautiful grandson, who is the light of my life.

In my spare time, I love to relax and read or listen to audio books. My favourite subjects to teach are reading and writing. I am very excited to share some wonderful books, that I know you are going to enjoy, with you and delight in reading the adventures you take me on in your writing. I am looking forward to getting to know your wonderful personalities and making memories in year 4.

Meet your teaching assistant

Mrs Hudson

Hello, my name is Mrs Hudson. I used to be a pupil myself at Sandhill and began working here as a dinner time supervisor in 2019. I volunteered as a teaching assistant in 2023 and then became a full time teaching assistant in 2024.

I have three children, and the youngest is now at Rawmarsh Community School having left Sandhill last year. I have a fantastic dog called Maisy. I love a challenge and have taken part in some very challenging events over recent years including a 70 mile run earlier this year. Running is a huge part of my life outside school, so much so I started my very own running club in 2018 and then a children’s running group in 2020 alongside hosting Junior Parkrun.

I love music and reading funny stories at school. I particularly like voicing characters from books and I love to be creative. I have spent a lot of time sewing, painting and modelling during my time at Sandhill and hosting the “Fine Motor Skills” after school club teaching all sorts of activities. I am so looking forward to another school year in September and getting to know all about you and what you love to do.

Class Information

I am very excited to welcome you into Year 4 for the most incredible learning experience. You will come in to our classroom, which is the classroom on your right, via the doors at the library that lead onto the playground. The door will be open at 8.40am and closed at 8.50am. I love to see a great big smile on everyone’s face in the morning time because it puts a great big smile on mine too. When you come into class, there will be an activity to help stimulate your brains ready for all the learning you will be doing now you are in Year 4. It is very important that you practice your times tables as often as you can because Year 4 is an important times tables year. We will also have a little book of adventures for the pupil that receives the much sought after Head Teacher Award, that will be filled with tales of adventure when he spends the weekend at your house.

Areas of Learning

We have lots of exciting learning planned for this year.
