Last week, every pupil at Rawmarsh Sandhill took part in the TCS Mini London Marathon – and what an amazing event it was! This year, we went bigger than ever, transforming our school field with music, banners, and bunting to create a fantastic race-day atmosphere.
All of our children, from Foundation Stage through to Year 6, took on the challenge of running laps of the field, aiming to reach the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles. They didn’t just meet the challenge, they exceeded it.
Together, our pupils covered an incredible 36 miles, truly going the extra mile in every sense. Most importantly, everyone had a brilliant time, showing determination, teamwork, and plenty of smiles along the way.
To top it all off, we were proudly awarded our trophy for the third year running – an achievement we are extremely proud of. We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!
