Over the past couple of weeks, Y3 have been exploring the world of charcoal as part of their Stone Age art topic. This week, they took their skills further by creating backgrounds for their final cave art pieces. The children experimented with shading and texture, using charcoal to create an authentic backdrop for their artwork.
It may have been a messy experience, with plenty of charcoal dust covering hands and faces, but the results are certainly worth it! It has been fantastic to see the children getting creative and bringing their learning about Stone Age art to life through this hands-on activity. Well done, Year 3!
