Last week, Y4 began their new setting description unit with a very unusual surprise! After dinner, they returned to their classroom to discover that it had been transformed into a crime scene. They searched for clues about Lizard Street, the setting of their class novel, ‘Krindlekrax’. They discovered buzzing streetlamps, flickering shadows and crooked houses, and even wondered what might be lurking in the drains beneath the streets.
Pupils have also been exploring their model text about Lizard Street and adding actions to help them remember the key vocabulary and structure. What a fantastic start to their new writing unit!
