Sandhill Primary

World Book Day Competition

Tue 14th Feb, 2017

Calling all budding book reviewers… We are looking for inspiring, creative and informative writing about the books you love.

In your book review:

  • Explain briefly what the book’s about – but DON’T tell the story. No spoilers!
  • Tell the reader what you think about the book. Humour, suspense, characters, best bits…
  • Who would enjoy it? Recommend it to the right readers.
  • Give details about the author, illustrator etc.
  • Your entry needs to be superbly presented. Be creative!

We hope to publish winning entries in a newspaper which will be circulated to all the schools in the Trust – so you might get to see your work in print. There are book store vouchers for the best entries in each category, so you can choose your next favourite book.

There are four categories:

Y6/7/8 :   Book Review

Y3/4/5:   Book Review

Y1/2:  Book Cover Design

Foundation Stage:   Bookmark Design

Closing date for entries – Friday 3rd March.

Please give entries to your class teachersts for the year will now be in the 23 million to 25 million range. This movement is primarily due to unrealized foreign exchange losses which we excluded in our calculation of adjusted profit for the period.
