Class 2

Welcome to our Class 2 page!

I am really looking forward to you being in my class. We have lots of exciting activities planned for our new school year.

Meet your Teachers

Hello! My name is Mrs Lee and I am the teacher for Class 2.

I love to be outdoors and like walking in the countryside and watching wildlife. At home, I love growing things in my garden – especially things I can eat. I am interested in anything to do with the environment. When I am indoors, I love cooking, reading and listening to music.

I have two children – Imogen who is nearly 10 and Mia who is 8.

In my free time, I like to watch ice hockey and love to watch the Sheffield Steelers at the Sheffield Arena. I love to read but my favourite pass-time is visiting family and friends. I cannot wait to meet you in September.

Our New Learning

In summer term, our topic is Enchanted Woodland. In Geography, we are going to be exploring our school grounds very carefully and looking at the natural and man-made features. I wonder what we will see? Back in the classroom we will be learning about maps and creating our own.

In science, we will be going back outside to look at the different plants we have around our school. We will be even planting some of our own and learning what plants need to grow so we can look after ours very carefully.

We will also be looking at the animals we can find at our school and in DT we will be making our own recyclable bird feeders.

In art, we will be looking at how we can create natural art just like Andy Goldsworthy.

Remember to bring sensible clothing and shoes as we will be outside a lot!

Class Information

There will be two PE lessons each week, so remember to bring your kit on Monday and take it home on Friday. You will need to make sure that you are not wearing earrings on these days. You will need a water bottle each day – remember sports top ones only. We will expect you to do regular home reading once you have been allocated to a book band. You will be able to change your book every day if you have read at home.
